BioWanze receives licence for 125,000 m³ bioethanol /year in Belgium
On October 19, 2006, the Belgian Federal Government announced the assignment of production volumes for biodiesel and bioethanol which had been offered in a Europe-wide tender on July 4, 2006.CropEnergies AG - through its subsidiary BioWanze S.A., Wanze, Belgium - received production licences for 125,000 m³ bioethanol per year for the period from October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2013. The decision was based on such factors as climate protection, energy efficiency, technology, and profitability.

Achieved revenues in the first half of 2006/07
CropEnergies AG, Mannheim (ISIN DE000A0LAUP1), achieved revenues of € 65.0 million in the first half of 2006/07 (previous half-year: € 15.9 million), which already exceeds the full prior-year revenues of € 60.5 million. The level of capacity utilisation in the second quarter of 2006/07 already reached more than 60,000 m³, which is equivalent to about 90 % of capacity. A total of around 110,000 m³ of bioethanol was produced in the first six months of 2006/07.

CropEnergies AG fixes purchase price and issue volume
CropEnergies AG, Mannheim (ISIN DE 000A0LAUP1), and its parent company Südzucker Aktiengesellschaft Mannheim/Ochsenfurt (ISIN DE 0007297004) have, together with Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft as the Global Coordinator, fixed the purchase price for the 25 million ordinary bearer shares in CropEnergies AG on offer at € 8 per share. "All of the 25 million new shares on offer from the capital increase were placed within the four-day subscription period," says Joachim Lutz, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of CropEnergies AG.
