CropEnergies AG With A Strong First Quarter

Mannheim, 12 July 2007 – In the first three months of the current financial year, CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, increased its revenues by 10.8 % to € 34.1 million (€ 30.8 million) compared to the same period in 2006/07. The operating profit was more than doubled. In the first quarter it totalled € 5.5 million (€ 2.6 million).

For the whole financial year 2007/08, CropEnergies AG expects a further growth of the revenues and the operating profit compared to the previous financial year.

The CropEnergies-Group – a member of the Südzucker-Group – is an established and according to the production capacity a leading European producer of bioethanol for the fuel sector.
