Production of ethanol wheat

Healthy wheat with a high starch content, from which a high ethanol yield may reasonably be expected, is the preferred raw material used for bioethanol production.
It is possible for the farmer to influence the quality of the wheat in respect of its suitability as a raw material for the production of bioethanol through choice of variety, fertiliser and pesticide application.
The B-, C- and the higher-yielding A-variety types are especially suited. The highest starch yield per unit area, with a high to very high starch content, is to be realised within this range of varieties.
New perspectives are opened to the farmer by planting wheat for ethanol production.
