Joachim Lutz, CEO

Joachim Lutz, subsequent to his banking traineeship, studied at the University of Mannheim from 1979 until 1984, specializing in banking, finance and auditing. After receiving his diploma in business administration, he worked at Deutsche Bank AG until the end of 1990 with a focus on corporate finance consulting for large stock corporations.
In January 1991, he became Head of Finance at Südzucker AG in Mannheim, being promoted to Director of Finance and Investor Relations in 1995. Besides corporate finance, this also included the debt and equity capital market activities of Südzucker Group.
In 2006, Joachim Lutz prepared the divisional segmentation of CropEnergies AG, the renewable energy-division of Südzucker Group. In May 2006, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of CropEnergies AG. The initial public offering (IPO) of CropEnergies AG took place in September 2006. Since April 2015, Joachim Lutz has been Chief Executive Officer.
Joachim Lutz represents the interests of the industry in national and European ethanol associations: He is Vice Chairman of the BDBe and a member of the ePURE Board of Directors.
Jürgen Böttcher, CTO

Jürgen Böttcher studied food technology with a focus on sugar and starch at the Humboldt University of Berlin from 1981 on and graduated in 1986 with a degree in engineering (Diplomingenieur).
In 1986, he began his professional career as a production engineer at the Langenbogen sugar factory. In July 1990, he moved to Südzucker AG and became a production engineer at the Wabern sugar factory. In 1998, he was made plant manager at the Warburg sugar factory. From 2004 on, Jürgen Böttcher was head of investment and maintenance management at Südzucker AG's head office in Ochsenfurt.
In 2006, he moved to CropEnergies AG and became managing director of CropEnergies Bioethanol GmbH Zeitz. From 2012 on, Jürgen Böttcher was Technical Director of CropEnergies AG responsible for production and technology.
Since 1 May 2020, Jürgen Böttcher has been a member of the executive board of CropEnergies AG as Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
Dr. Fritz Georg von Graevenitz, CSO

Dr. Fritz Georg von Graevenitz studied economics, economic history with a focus on fiscal policy and political science at the Universities of Mannheim and Heidelberg and the Institut d'études politiques de Paris, Frankreich. In 2011, he received his doctorate for his thesis on international agricultural markets in the 20th century and their policies from the European University Institute, Florence, Italy.
In October 2011, Fritz Georg von Graevenitz joined the Südzucker Group as an expert for sugar policy and sugar markets in the central department for business economics in the sugar division. In September 2015, he became assistant to the CEO of Südzucker AG. In July 2016, he was appointed head of the central auditing department and Compliance Officer of Südzucker AG.
Since October 2019, Dr. Fritz Georg von Graevenitz has been member of the executive board of CropEnergies AG as Chief Sales Officer.
Dr. Stephan Meeder, CFO

After graduating with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales, Cergy-Pontoise, France, Stephan Meeder worked for ABB Structured Finance GmbH from 1996 to 2000. In 1999, he earned his doctorate from the University of Mannheim at the faculty of Logistics. From 2000 to 2001, he worked for KPMG in the Corporate Finance Department and from 2001 to 2006 at Robert Bosch GmbH in Corporate Finance and M&A.
In November 2006, Stephan Meeder joined the Corporate Finance department of Südzucker AG. In May 2007, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the French sugar producer Saint Louis Sucre SA, Paris.
In April 2015, Stephan Meeder was appointed to the executive board of CropEnergies AG as Chief Financial Officer. In mid-July 2020 he will become CEO (speaker of the executive board) of CropEnergies AG.
