Mannheim, 16 July 2019 – In today’s meeting, the supervisory board of CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, has appointed Dr Fritz Georg von Graevenitz (41) as a member of the Executive Board with effect from 1 October 2019. He is to succeed Michael Friedmann (64)as Chief Sales Officer. Friedmann will retire in the spring of 2020 when his current appointment to the executive board ends.
After completing a degree in economic history, economics and political science and a doctorate in agrarian raw material markets, Dr von Gravenitz joined the Südzucker Group in 2011. Initially responsible for analyses of the sugar market, related raw material markets and their agricultural policy basis he was appointed assistant to the CEO of Südzucker AG in 2015. In 2016, he became head of the auditing and compliance department of the Südzucker Group. In this position, Dr von Graevenitz obtained a deeper overview of the activities and structure of the Südzucker Group.
